Thank you NEPS! It sure is nice to find a place to discuss Peter's films and life with people who know what you are talking about! However, I have managed to get a lot of people to use the word "singed" for "signed" in our office - after the story told about the "singed" photograph for the fan.

I don't think I know that story. I'm a new fan so I hardly know much about him. I just thought if we could bring in all the pros to a forum, it'd be a nice little place to share Peter-ness.

I don't recall where I heard the tale, but back during Peter's Goon days, I think it was, he received a fan letter asking for a signed photo. Alas, the word "signed" was written as "singed" by the unknowing fan. Peter understood what the fellow meant, but couldn't resist having a little fun. He signed a photo, then took out his lighter and grazed it around the picture's edges - now it was a singed photo! He sent it to the fan. The fan later wrote back to thank him but asked if he could have another one, as the one he received was burnt!

 Your kidding! I hope the fan KNEW and was just playing stupid. If I had been Peter, I woulda thrown my arms up in the air in disgust, lol! You just don't know about some people.
I was reading it as "singed" (yeah that helps, lol....I mean as like sing/sang/sung) and wasn't even expecting that kind of story, haha!
